Lobster and Stuff, Reykjavik, Iceland

Iceland is one of those places that when you ask for Halal Meat, most locals response is ‘Hello Meat?’. This unfortunately means that if you’re visiting, you will be purely eating vegetarian/seafood dishes! During our whole weekend away, we only managed to find one Halal restaurant!

This seafood restaurant had a very limited option, but their dishes that suit a Halal diet were superb! (Albeit pricey)

Entering inside the restaurant, you feel like you’re walking into a Ship, as it’s based right near the sea, and everything inside is made of Wood! We also saw the Northern Lights while sitting and eating here – so I only have good memories of this visit!

For starters, I tried the Smoked Salmon, Dill, Horrseradishpuree, Cucumber and Mixed Spice.

For my mains, I tried their Lobster Sandwich in Brioche Bread, which comes with Garlic, Guacamole, Cabbage, Oyster Mushrooms and Dipped Potatoes.

And of course – I wasn’t leaving without a dessert! What you see my friend eating here is quite possibly the the best Creme Brûlée we’ve ever tried! I went for the White Chocolate Mousse which was equally delicious!

All in all, we each spent a good £50+ each, so definitely pricey – but I’d warn anyone visiting here to come with plenty of cash because living and eating around Reykjavik is unbelievably expensive! Just to put it into context – the following day my friend bought a pizza, and after adding a few extra toppings to it and buying a drink, it came to nearly £50 again!
