Moor & Hitch, Queensway

Located next to Queensway/Bayswater station, Moor & Hitch is a well-presented little cafe with a restaurant style layout at the back.

I visited with a group of 5 friends for Iftaar during Ramadan 2017. Take a look below to see what we ate!

Smokey Joe burger – £9.55

I really enjoyed my Smokey Joe burger – had smoked turkey bacon on top, and the meat was really juicy, with melted cheese on top of it, which was the perfect (unhealthy) treat after a long day of fasting! The steak was also really juicy, and cooked well!

Steak – £25
Mac n Cheese – £4.80
Smoked Ribs – £11.90

The juicy, tender Smoked Ribs were my personal favourite! Meat fell right off the bone, and no idea what was in the sauce.. but it went perfectly 👌🏾 definitely the best thing I tried here!

Lamb chops – £11.90

The milkshake was slightly too runny for me, and my friend who had the lamb chops said that he found them to be over-cooked. BUT, the rest of the food was good, so overall I’d say a good experience.

The friendly gentleman who runs the restaurant kindly made space for us to pray Magrib in their kitchen, as I’m not aware of any mosques nearby in the area.

Service was good, most of the food came quickly, but some things took quite a while to come out.. but since both chefs and staff were fasting this was understandable.

All in all a good restaurant to visit and one I’d recommend.. & I hope to return after Ramadan in sha Allah!
