SticksnSushi, Canary Wharf

Now I’m not a huge fan of Sushi, but I do always try and give it a go – and to be honest I think it’s slowly starting to grow on me! The last time I properly tried Sushi was at Nobu, and that’s because my friend paid like £40 for a plate of it – so I figured it must taste good.

Sticks’n’Sushi boasts a massive menu, which for someone who knows nothing about Sushi – becomes very confusing! However their menu comes with pictures of every dish which really does help.

As we were a big party, we tried many things from the menu – my favourite had to be the Ebi bites – basically Tempura Prawns, and the Salmon Teriyaki skewer.

The chicken in the Canary Wharf restaurant is Halal, however they cook it alongside other meats – so see on the day if they can cook it separately for you!

Sushi-wise: we tried a good selection of dishes that were Halal – my personal favourite was the Ebi Panko (with Shrimp and avocado).

Be sure to make clear to the staff that you’re on a strict Halal diet, so they don’t bring out anything with alcohol in it (they have an alcohol-free soy sauce, but offer the alcohol version as standard).

The restaurant we visited is in Canary Wharf, however they have various other restaurants (including Covent Garden and Wimbledon).
