Dawat, Tooting

I was never a massive fan of Dawat. My experiences of eating there were never great, but since they moved to their new larger restaurant closer to Tooting Broadway Station, I thought I’d give them another go – and boy have they done a good job at turning things around!

This post was from a visit I made during Ramadan 2017 with some friends for Iftaar and I must say I was impressed!! We tried the Mixed Grill, the Samosa Chaat, Lamb Karahi and Chicken Karahi. Everything was superb.. from the quick service, and more importantly.. the food!

The mixed grill is a mixture of Lamb Tikka, Chicken Tikka, Chicken Wings, Lamb Chops and Seekh Kebabs! For around £15, it’s really not too bad for the amount of meat you get… easily enough to feed 3/4 hungry people after a day of fasting + all the meat was all succulent and juicy!

Both the Karahis were full of flavour, but my personal favourite was the samosa chaat!

Finally… I’d been suggested by a friend to try their falooda, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone who visits! £3 and it goes great after a meal!
