IHOP, Miami, USA

I flew to Miami straight from Cuba, and sadly Miami had just as bad of a problem with Halal food as Cuba did! The first thing that I did was walk into Shake Shack, knowing that they recently turned their Chicken Halal in the UK, and walked up confidently to the till and asked do you serve Halal meat, to which the gentlemen behind the till replied ‘Hello Meat?’. Seconds after this awkward encounter, I did a 180 degrees turn and walked straight out of the restaurant and into the streets and look to the sky in realization that I was about to spent another 4/5 days without meat.

Luckily, being in Cuba had sort of trained me up to like Vegetarian/Seafood dishes, so I figured I’d make it through.

First stop on our Foodie tour of Miami was IHOP! To be completely honest, I’d never heard of ti before – but it seemed to be a pretty big thing here! I got in, and put my name on the waiting list and was told I’d be waiting for a minimum of half an hour!

Once our turn came, and we were seated – the food turned out to be much better than I expected!

I went for the Spinach & Mushroom Omelette, and as I write this blog post I can still taste the cheese-y egg in my mouth! Honestly, I don’t know if Angel’s flew down to do some magic in the kitchen that day, but there was definitely something special on that plate – either that, or I’m just extremely starving as I write this post up!

The egg was still a little gooey in the middle, and the Swiss Cheese side went perfectly with the rest of the meal!

I complimented my Omelette with the Strawberries & Cream Crepe.

Now, I must tell you that they bring everything that you ordered out at once. So when both of these dishes arrived at my table simultaneously, I was extremely confused as to where to start. I’m not really exposed to the luxury of a multiple course breakfast at home, so having 2 things to eat I was spoilt and confused for choice. This ultimately meant that I couldn’t finish most of the Crepe, as I wasn’t going to finish that first and then never forgive myself for not finishing the amazing Omelette – basically to summarize my rant, all of that food is too much for one person! The Crepe was great, but I couldn’t do it justice as I was full from the Omelette, so I’d definitely advise sharing items!

If you’re ever in the area and give them a visit – please please please do try the Spinach and Mushroom Omelette and hit me up on the ‘Contact Us’ part of our site, and do let us know what you think! I promise it won’t disappoint! – Gosh they should really be paying me for this review!
