Comptoir Libanais, Gatwick Airport
Living in South London, I usually opt for Gatwick whenever I’m flying out! Unfortunately, most the flights I end up getting put on are stupidly early, and me being me, I like to get there a good 3/4 hours early in case something goes wrong!
This was a 9am flight, and believe me when I say I was here by just after 6am, ready to go, whilst the Pilot was probably still at his home pressing snooze on his alarm!
Finding Halal food in Gatwick has been tough – this is pretty much the only place I’ve come across!
Comptoir Libanais have many stores all over London, and I often visit them for lunch/dinner when working around the Liverpool Street area as they have a nice little restaurant based there. The food is great – I just feel like it’s really over-priced for what it is!
This picture is of a quick stop I made for breakfast before flying out to Thailand! It was a wrap with Lamb sausages inside, really great stuff – just not worth the money that we paid for it!
Also, when I order mint tea, I usually expect the stuff you get at proper authentic Lebanese or Turkish restaurants – this unfortunately was a teapot of hot water, a PG tip and a few mint leaves scattered across inside. #sadtimes
