The Kebab Company, Balham

Considering it's National Burger Day, it was only right that today's addition to #10MealsForUnderATenner was… *drumroll*… a burger! Bet you didn't see that one coming.

I'll be completely honest with you, today's post was planned out to be Shake Shack. My plan was to tell you that every blog you had read online had got it wrong, and their chicken burger tasted like unicorns and rainbows. But sadly, 'every blog' wins this time – the burger was *insert words inappropriate for a Halal food blog*. But anyway, that's a story for another food post.

#Day2: The Kebab Company, Balham.

To be honest, I'm quite sad that it took me so long to discover this gem! It's not up to par with the rest of the restaurants in the area when it comes to aesthetics, and the service isn't exactly Michelin star, but when it comes to food – this is quite possibly one of the best burgers I've laid my hands on in South London!

With a fully Halal, very well priced and huge menu – this is definitely somewhere I'd recommend everyone to drop by if you're ever in the area!

I went for the Turkey bacon and Cheese burger – and boy was it juicy – you can even see in the picture how succulent the meat looks! One thing which they did really well was to keep the Turkey flavorsome and chewy, as many places where I've had Turkey bacon added to my burger – it just comes really hard and ruins the taste of the burger!

And the total price, you won't even believe me.
Burger – £6.50
Chips – £2.00
Drink – £0.80
Total price: £9.30

Price definitely takes into account the fact that the restaurant isn't exactly the best spot to get on one knee and pop the question to your other half, but it's still definitely a great location for an informal dinner with a friend, or a quick bite while out and about! BUT the price doesn't reflect how good the burger is, I felt like I'd robbed the place!

I left full, satisfied and with enough change in my pocket to buy myself a packet of Skittles – #success
