Dum Biryani, London.

Fully Halal Menu.

Been meaning to try this place for a while now!

They only do 3 options for biryani  – Chicken, Lamb and Veggie.

We went for the Lamb Shank & Seasonal Vegetable biryani… although 1 is definitely enough to feed 2 people!

The lamb shank was full of flavor and the lamb was cooked well. But, I’d still say it was nothing OVERLY-exciting for the price of £16! I think you’re paying for the experience, location and ambience of the restaurant.

Veggie was slightly dry, and I personally feel biryani and meat are inseparable… so probably wouldn’t recommend the veggie option! But still, I was very impressed with the concept and it was still a good biryani!

Really good service, waiter kindly turned the lights up for me to take my pic for the blog as it’s a very dim-lighted restaurant.

They also can make you a mango lassi (not on the menu) if you ask nicely, as I had to explain to the waiter that biryani + mango lassi is a major key.

All biryanis come with a crispy dough layer ontop which is delicious as well as Raita and other sauces. All in all… I’ll be back to try the chicken biryani!
