Snowflake, London
Living in South London, the only desserts that I’m used to are Creams, Afters or a McDonald’s Ice Cream! Posh desserts wasn’t something I knew of!
Snowflake have been around since 2012, but I only really discovered them towards the end of 2016. In various locations including Wardour Street, Edgware Road and Oxford Street, they really are slowly taking over the Dessert scene in the City!
The picture below is from my first visit to their Dessert Parlor in Edgware Road – with enough seating so you won’t be queuing ages, plus the fact that it’s open til 1am during the weekends!
I tried their waffles, which I chose to have topped with white chocolate sauce, a mix of their Gelato’s and kept it balanced and healthy with some strawberries!
You can really taste how better the quality of their Gelato is when compared to the usual Cream’s/Afters that I’ve known growing up!
Below is another visit, where I tried similar toppings on a Crepe! Verdict for me was that their Waffles are much better, as all the sauce soaked the Crepe, and it wasn’t as enjoyable.
If you’re ever around in the City, then do pop in and have a try of some of their Gelato’s! They’re not stingy at all when it comes to giving each and every flavor a try – believe me, I’ve done it!
(Comment added in 2018:) I must add as a disclaimer, that re-visiting this post that I made at the start of 2017, I have visited Snowflake many more times since, and my opinion of it has unfortunately been skewed downwards by a few experiences. The last time I visited, we were given a waffle which really didn’t taste too great, and the brownies in my ice-cream tasted like they were baked the week before. This may have just been a one-off bad experience, but was enough that I don’t think I’ll be visiting again!
