French Toast

Who doesn’t love a bit of French Toast? It’s a hugely popular brunch item that you’ll see on peoples Instagram story over the weekends, but now with restaurants closed – I bring you my French Toast recipe so you can make it yourself at home!

The recipe is pretty quick – 30 minutes from prep time to it being on your table (and to be honest that’s quite generous timing too!)

The ingredients listed below are just for the French Toast, and then it’s over to you to go crazy with toppings! Sometimes less is more, and just a bit of Maple Syrup does the job.

But if you’ve missed breakfast that morning, or trying to max out your calorie count for the day – or frankly, just fancy a indulging, then you can really overload your French Toast with pretty much anything you can find in your cupboard!

Topping ideas: Nutella (a must!), fresh fruit, powdered sugar, whipped cream, bacon (the Halal kind, of-course), ice cream, Caramel sauce, cinnamon – the options are literally endless!

My personal favourite: maple syrup, some fresh berries & powdered sugar.
